I'm Jeff Whitaker, a Christian grant writer and ghostwriter based in Maryland. I've published more than a dozen books, and another one is on the way.Before I wrote proposals, I ran the programs that proposals fund. I founded and ran Hoops4Jamie from 2014 to 2018. It raised more than $20,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Greater Washington Area and for an underserved public school. Working alongside other small charitable organizations, we produced more than 50 events in four years — competitions, givebacks, school visits, and giveaways.I wrote the manual that ran it. Since then, I've written SOPs, program documents, and business plans for my church and for other small organizations.Every year from Thanksgiving through Christmas, we packed several hundred emergency bags and put them into the hands of people living outside across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We didn't drop them off somewhere for someone else to distribute. We handed them over in person.

What I do
Grant writing. I find the funders, write the proposal, and build the budget narrative.Ghostwriting. I write books, teaching material, annual report copy, standard operating procedures, and manuals.
